Ha no i can't afford a new one, getting a second hand one but it will be either in good working order or rebuilt depends whats available at the time. And that doesn't sound like to much hard work, sure i'll get used to it.

ah yes it shall be done for combe, the housdings survives good few thousand miles, i think it was the angles i put on the pivot which over stressed the housing somewhat.
if i wasnt so lazy it could probably be done today but one of those feeling where im just a bit annoyed, at least the linkage itself didnt get damaged which is what i was worried about at 1st

they make the clutch very heavy because they change the pedle ratio...its nice not having to bleed the clutch or worry about that kinda crap but when i was stuck in the traffic jam that was l2b my knee swelled up a tad, ordinarily its ok tho, not like im usualy on the clutch long enough for there to be an issue with it. I got mine for £55 from johnk ages ago on TM

mint!, rather annoying actualy but hey ho

also been to southam today and got a replacment housing and gasket...been told its not so easy getting the transmission housing out with the engine in...which i knew but we shall see if i can try it anyway.
what i did forget is that ill need to re-shim my drops, crossing everything its not far out tho. Better if its tight tho so i can just go at it with some wet n dry and take it down but we shall see i guess

rather just replace it to be honest, then i know at least it wont bugger up in the future (as long as i set the linkage correctly)
the chunk of metal doesnt actualy go into the gap, like my must have twisted out with quite alot of force

well, southam said i should be able to (with alot alot of faffing) be able to get feeler gauges in between the crank, where the primary gear would go to check the clearance. Its lucky with SC drops it doesnt have to be as c*ck-on

Looks nasty, just have to hope it doesn't happen again!

you can remove the housing with the engine in situe but it's very very tight for space, when i removed mine i had to undo the top engine steady bar and move it to one side, servo, washer bottle and remove both the engine mounts and take off the top rad bracket and push the rad inwards slightly and put a cloth in between to stop it fouling on the inner wings then jack it up on the clutch side as far as you can... oh and don't forget to drain the oil :D

hope to see it at coombe

got no servo or washer bottle or inner wings :D will work something out though even if the engine ends up just perched on the jack lifted up.

Don't forget to swap the outer race for the bottom bearing into the new housing too.
