Nice to see some progress! The engine bay is looking better, hows the engine going? and are going to try a 296 this time?
engines built now, apart from the flywheel im still waiting on

naa not going for another cam, put my sensable head on, decided id be better off saving more money and just going for a higher spec when the other parts may be upto it, including steel internals

Shows how iv re-routed the brake lines, better than the way it was previously routed, not too close to the exhaust either since iv got the engine back in

just thought the blue and black looked nice so got a pic haha

put the exhaust manifold and carp on just to check how the flanges fit, there was a bit of carbon on the gasket so thought the flanges might be different thicknesses, appeared alright in anycase.

Happy with how the engine looks tho

Then i got the engine back in the hole, stupid heavy engine tho lol put my back out a tad

As im still waiting on the flywheel iv left that end jacked up waiting, bit annoying really but hey ho!
Also re-fitted the oil cooler, engine was getting hot at Castle combe last year (only time iv ever managed to get it to something near concerning) anyway might come off after combe depending if engine just doesnt warm up enough and how the oil looks (should also look nice peering through the clubby lower grille)

Alot of the wiring needs to be extended slightly...rather annoying but because iv re-routed it slightly, tucking it up. Also because the different starter type but should be worth it.
still lots of smallish jobs to do but expectable really...still need to get round to getting steel for my brackets

Ahh right i thought you might had known already, personally i prefer it now. And rallying in a mini isn't exactly competitive anymore so i see why your changing to the 106, no worries on the scan i'll sort it out when i can work out how to use the printer lol.yeah, it took me to finaly ruin its rallying career after all its outings
its MY toy now and rallying in a mini, isnt for me and after iv spent all i have on the car already, fixing all the little problems previous owners have created im gona keep it and use it how i fancy, ie mini shows with friends, track wepon, coutry road worrier and drag strip fiend
eventualy when it gets faster haha
