dont need to take the front off quick, tis why i have a removable bonnet so if it looks good im happy too

Posted Image
i still have these on the front valance, reused from my round nosed bonnet however using the pins from the new fasteners...old pins will be used with the aerocatch at the top of the bonnet where i dont need the length

few front views, tis how its going to look for a while i think

just a picture to show the wing mounts, again, need a little more fettling but it should do for now and the big washers will hide any enlarged holes to close the gaps that have appeared

Looking good, regret not going clubby front now, your engine bays wicked too! might pop over to medieval once mines sorted. might pinch the fibreglass front apanel mounting idea off you too, looks much better than dzus fastners and because mines a crappy fit i dont think the dzus would be strong enough. did you weld a locknut to the otherside of the apanel so that you can unscrew them without sort of going under the wheel arch?

hey, i was going to use riv nuts instead of welding in a nut...not intierly happy with fit currently, yeah...

when i go to paint it im going to fit new a-pannels then hoping theres still enough material there that i can pull the front end forward and make it look pretty.

yeah of course its ok to pinch the idea altho deuz fasteners may be quicker i wouldnt need to hurrily take the front off any how, i got the bolts and counter sunk washers from my friend at TRS, there alloy jobbies, kinda feels like your holding nothing when you have them in your hand haha

right...rivi run closing in...as in less than 2 days time i best get it sported >_<

so tomorrow morning im going to have my tracking set up, should stop it pulling to the side every time i drive it.

also decided that once and forall my clutch is going to stop slipping!!

so iv gone n bought this

Posted Image

4 finger 190mm paddle clutch, that best stop the *illegitimate person*! lol

also just to ensure the clamping pressure is all alright iv got a new grey diaphragm to replace the old one, it had one before but who knows, the clamping force may well have degraded so thought i may aswell get a new one for the cost of it, keep the old for spare if i need it some reason.

going to be a long uncomfortable drive haha, need to go buy a cfag lighter socket and wire that in so i can keep my phone charged up on the trip and not drain the battery listening to music

gaaargh!!! :)

made it to newquay and back for the rivi run, however on the way back the clutch started slipping again! like what the hell!!!

my car shouldnt warrent more than a bloody grey diaphragm and the plate should be more than upto the job.

it happens when i was pulling off the motorway into services and went to accelerate along the slip road and revs blipped up, went to accelerate again and it was fine...wierd! i thought but carried on.
carried on later had a little chase on with another car and hammered on my foot to the accelerator in 4th, and it started slipping, i can accelerate when im not full throttle at say 75% throttle but yeah, well annoyed and not sure whats going on.
It does also happen in 3rd but only when i get to about 6000rpm at full throttle.

haha nope, that would be silly and plus STUPID new regulations means that you cant have foregn engined rally cars, thank you MSA for ruining stuff!

naa, will be going a little bit lower, little bit wider, little bit flasher and quite a bit faster >_<
