bulkhead finished, welding etc etc just need to slap some seam sealer on, its all primed now too
can also see in that pic the wiper motor bracket, not fully welded yet as i ran out of gas again >_< blasted thing!

i put a brace on the rear part of the wiper mount so it doesnt flex too, can see the blueing of the metal on the front of it, the nuts are captivated and they reaaaaaally didnt want to be welded as there galvonised kind >_< pretty messy welding lol! oh well it should hold.

not much of the welding is as neat as i would like, it doesnt seem to like anything but flat welding but it's penitrated and held, just gona slap the seam sealer on just to neaten things and seal from the gas.

It looks good enough David, remember function before form. Its not a concourse car. I think the welding is good. Better than mine at the moment.

im just picky >_< tried to do 1 inch stitch welds, move on and come back n fill but just looks like pidgoen sh*t even worse behind the scuttle because i couldnt get the right angle with the torch...but thats what a grinder's for!

Good work David and you're welding is far better than mine :dontgetit: (shame I can't weld >_< )

How's it looking for getting this done before you have to come back down south? Do you reckon you'll have any time to run in the engine even a bit before riv run?

Quick tip!!

If you need to weld something thats been galavanised, make sure you grind the galve coating off first, welds better and more important welding something that been galved wil give of a nasty gas.

i tend to hold my breath while welding, stiller n such...also i close my eyes rather than being off put by flipping down a visor, i dont have a polorising one and only doing very small stitch welds i dont particualy need to be looking...very bad practice though!!

Ta for the tip shifty, ill bare it in mind.

han: hopefulyl finish because i need it done for next weekend really >_< as for running in, drive to and from newark show, then on monday ill no doutably drive it and thursday night n friday when im back from uni ill obviously drive it haha

Thanks for ur help shifty! iv just now got back from the pneumatics place, £7 lighter i have 2 meters of nylon tube (didnt have polyurethane but it seems like alright stuff) 2X 6mm plastic push in X1/4 BSPT male adapt and 6mmOD plastic push in "Y" adaptor

1. finish off the bulkhead, grind, drill for hose n wire passages. Fit steering column bracket, wiper motor bracket and paint.
2. plan fitment of wiring modual
3. plan fitment/position of megajolt.
4. fit engine, gear linkage and exhaust, extra engine steady, tap manifold for MAP take off
5. fit dash, check gear linkage for dash clearence, plan arrangment of dials and switches
6. wire up the car
7. Check hydraulic lines, reposition handbrake if required
8. paint floor finish
9. paint arches, refit & apply stickers
10. Laqure roof
11. straighten front pannel , repair as required
12. fit sump gaurd
13. Tidy up car
14. spanner check

drilled n tapped my manifold also now, ill get pictures later if i can be bothered :proud:
