1340 does exist. And you should check very carefully to make sure it isn't one before you decide to scrap it or sell it cheap. A 1340 can be either a first de-stroke to 73.5mm pistons, or a fist re-stroke to +20 pistons. So make sure the crank is standard before you decide to do anything with it. If the crank is standard then it is most probably a 1330 as has been said, and is basically worth core value for the block and crank. However if the crank has been de-stroked or re-stroked then it's worth a bit more to anyone who wants a spare stroker crank as stroking costs money. But if you want to build it up into an engine yourself then it'll be more expensive as you'll need rods with the smaller size big ends, either really old ones or very expensive Carillo's or re-manufactured Cooper S.

ah cheers for that Dan. the morespeed kit has a reground cam, but thats it.
The largest capacity for the A seires isnt far off a 1.6 but the crank is that long that the gearbox has to b machined to stop it from catching
