cool stuff buddy. Might need to to help rebuild. Stay round if your off for a night now and again to get it done. Gonna be a real push at the end of the month. Might get the doors and front sprayed first as the roof is drying then I can get them back here and build them up ready to put back on the car when that returns.

progress. Got the roof on the go. Filled a few dents, cleaned up the gutters and got a layer of high build primer on. Looking good.

only problem was something reacted with the primer and I got this. A quick rub down should do the jobs tomorrow.

got a date for the car going to the lockup for us to spray. Gonna be going there on the 23rd so is looking good for riv run. Might have to live in the garage for a few days after but will be fine.

also i bought all the panel wipe and tack clothes. Some more high build primer and the plastic primer for the front, arches and boot. Was a task getting all that home on my bike in a rucksack. But hey at least it didn't rain on me. much..

i had exactly the same problem with primer on my roof, only seemed to do it around the edges aswell,, you will probably find its a bit that wasnt quite rubbed down enough to remove the old paint i guess.

yeah was thinking along those lines. Had a bit of a sesh with the wet and dry before. Even though i had it out in the sun for ages it might still have been a bit wet. Never mind will give me a little more to do tomorrow but that's cool.

well that bubbling effect was a pain the the rear but got most of it. Ran out of high build primer but it was at a nice stage so gave it a blow over of paint to help keep away that dreaded moisture. Will go back to it monday and take out the last few blemishes.

waiting for some stuff to dry inthe garage I had a go with some autosol metal polish. Neve used it before. Amazing stuff. Was gonna buy some new lamp rings to go with the nice shiney paint but a quick go with this stuff and they look ace.

Here's one that has been done and one that's yet to be touched

am I mad, but am getting nervous as we take the car to the lockup to start spraying tomorrow :w00t: worried something is gonna go wrong and it'll not be done in time for the riv run. Anywho I'm cracking on. Put the doors on to help get it all there and found that one door goes on fine but my passenger door is quite far out at the top and way too far in at the bottom. I've seen this before on a post but can't find it anywhere. Any ideas what could be done. If it needs a technical tweek/bend then this have to be done before spray.

also I have sprayed a quick dusting over the front and boot to bring it to the same colour as the rest so there will be no difference in the brightness of the paint when done. Should I do this with the doors or would I be ok to say just leave them or prime them to make it a bit lighter?? Soooo many questions and so little time

didn't replace it no. Might have a play with it later. If it comes to it do you think it'll need the holes repositioning at all?? With the aid of a drill. It's also strange as it sit's nice at the apanel

If it lines up with the apanel then there are two possibilities - 1) your apanel is not aligned properly or 2) you've got a distorted door! :w00t:

You may get away with a couple of shims or "modding" the holes with a drill!!

Had a look whilst doing some stuff and it seems like i can line it up with the bolts a little loose, but when I tighten it up it pulls the door back to that position. How strange. Should be able to do something with it though.
