Getting there mate. Glad I had that access panel in the bulkhead as I had a water leak from a split pipe before we left and needed to fix that. Would of been a nightmare if I didn't have the access. Will give you a call the next few days and we'll go for a spin. Really need to clean up the wires first though

Ear plugs eh? Sounds awesome! I'm glad you got that access panel, I just hope my re-used hoses are ok.......

Actually Mr M did you re-use your two mini heater pipes, if you did does it matter which way round you connect them on the honda? If it does which end goes to the thermostat housing side? Is it the one with the mechanical valve or the other straight through one?

I used the mini hoses. they are a different size but find a reducer or something to make it fit. I used the honda heater valve as I forgot where i put the mini one and it was on the thermostat outlet on the engine. I didn't worry what side of the heater it went into as it's doing the same job either way I reckon.

well then the car is coming together nicely. Nearly got all the wiring sorted. The dash is gonna hide a lot of woes but it'll be fine.

The grille is nearly done. Am still gonna be able to use the spot lights so happy about that it just means the grille sits out further.

The alarm and central locking are in and working. Not as hard to get done as the first time I tried it Both seats are in with the new harnesses which look like this

Took it out for a drive yesterday and scared Spenner a bit with some loud enthusiastic driving and am getting a knocking noise. This is coming from the alt hitting the top of the damper mount so will get sorted tomorrow. Also when getting onto the bypass we had a little cough and lost power but am putting this down to low fuel as there was a long corner onto the bypass which I think starved the pump of fuel. Will fill her up next time and try it again. Am hoping it's nothing to do with the fact I have 2 filters in the fuel line and don't know if it's restricting the fuel flow. But I think it was just the low level of fuel The rad looks like it's cooling fine but when you press on it does raise the temp up a bit more and the fan kicks in. Might not be a big enough fan but the test will be the riv run. I can see a lot of turning the engine off when in traffic coming up

If it was just a loss of power under cornering I would say it would be oil starvation which is a common problem on the VTEC's. If the oil pressure drops it does not allow VTEC to engage. However with the little cough then you could be right on the fuel. What is the sump like for baffles to keep the oil in the centre around the pick up. Cant wait to see it at the Riv run.

Well the car is ready for the riv run. Worked 3 months to get her there and finished with 10 hours to go

Been a hard slog but got there. All interior is in. Stereo and my nice new digital dash came today. After a bit of pressure from my end they hurried one through.






Got new tyres on and the arches are rubbing. the front lines up bad and still some rattles but I don't care as it's nearly time for a holiday

Car Audio Security is where I got it from. the guys were supper helpfull as there was a problem with stock and the manufacturer didn't have any more but they sorted one out for me as I said I needed it for tomorrow.

KAM cheers for the comments. The furr on the door cards was a temp thing but people loved it so I left it for now. Down the line it's gonna go alcantara with some orange detailing so should suit the car better. It is nice to rest your leg on when driving in shorts though
