I'll try and get some pictures of the seats for you. They are buckets that recline and are very nice to sit in. What's your plans for the exhaust manifold then?

i'm gonna make a flange to bolt to the engine at work using the original as a pattern. i bought some weld elbows which are the right diameter for the manifold, which are a very tight radius, weld them to the flange, and join them in to one like the original manifold but it will hug the engine block, within about 20mm and where the sump joins the block within 5mm, and it will move silghtly to the passenger side as there is a cutout in the block that will suit the downpipe perfectly. will take some pictures to show you and post them later

Another Milestone today. Got the fire extinguisher by the car and then connected the battery. No bang no sparks ^_^ All was good so just thought out of interest i'd turn the key and see what happens. Still using my original ECU so thought it would be imobed. The engine bloody turned :trooper: Can't belive it. Wiring is not best best subject but looks like I've done something right. Changed over to my p28 ecu and had a go but am getting no spark and the fuel pump is not kicking in so will have to have a look at it tomorrow. What have you people done for the fuel pump? I ran the wire from the ecu to a relay and then that would power the pump.
Also need an answer or two on these. Is this routing right for the intake

and is it best to block this off on the rocker cover and maybe put a filter on it at some point or is it sipposed to do something. Getting to the point of little things that are gonna conffuse the hell out of me.

cheers guys. I'm going back tomorrow with a plan of starting it fully. Just need to sort out some wires as i don't think my ECU is powering up but will see what happens. if I get it started early enough I may even get a quick drive for a few metres to check it goes but then stop before it overheats as I still ain't sorted my rad. Ho hum one bit at a time

Well she needs an exhaust manifold and some pneumatic pipes connecting to calm her down but she starts

First start

cheers to Spenner for the help today. Hopefully tomorrow we can get her running a bit smoother and maybe a bit quieter

I don't think the mini one will cool enough mate. Good for maybe upto 120 horses but over that you need something more. I have a few ideas in the pipeline just need to get them into action. Am looking tomorrow at a local place for some pipes to make my own maifold.

webers my arse it'll work fine as it is. Cheers again for the taxi service today Spence much appriciated.

Didn't get anything done on the car today. Had a bad morning chasing around places and getting fobbed off try to get exhaust stuff. Then home, a quick cup of tea and a better google search and off we went to a local place we didn't know was there and now I have the stuff to make my manifold. Very helpfull people and they sorted me out with everything and gave good advice. Watch this space in the next week for a completed manifold and exhaust system. Gonna sound sweeeettttttt..... ;)
