Well said Kam. I'll probably end up there but for now this'll do me. Hope it's usable

It will be usable, everyones different when it comes to pressure on the clutch pedal and how they find it? I've had a MR2 turbo with an uprated clutch and it was ridiculous, for the first few weeks anyway? But for long term on yours I would be looking to change over to a 14mm >>>> Taken from 16v, the travel on the release bearing will be too much and was catching the boss of the friction plate and pushing it back onto the flywheel causing drag and not allowing the gears to engage smoothly. It was ok if you only pressed the pedal halfway down?

In the meantime it might be worth doing some calf/quad exercises for your short term cylinder!

You buy the master cylinder new from some places like Here and here and do a bit of fettling as shown in a few othe threads.

Had a good day to start then it went wrong, wrong, wrong :dozing: got into town and bought some stuff I've been needing for a while. Got it all in a backpack including 5L of brake fluid and my calipers. Was a dam heavy bag to wear on the bike. But got there and started to get stuff done. Feeling good i fitted new connections to some wires and got all the connections done to the engine bay fuse box. Happy with that I plummed in my fuel lines to the engine and all was good. Fitted my drivers side caliper and realised that I think the stone guards i have only fit metro hubs and not mini. No real problem but would of been nice to fit them as they are looking nice with a new coat of paint. Fitted flexi lines and don't know if they are any good as when I turn to left lock the hose is rubbing up on the gearbox and frame. Anyway went to fit the passenger caliper, went on well all nice and then POP! sheared a bleed nipple :xxx: :xxx: :xxx: :dontgetit: Went into work, got the ezy out kit to remove said nipple and SNAP!!!! :P Now there is half a bleed nipple and half an ezy out bit there to, all happy and cuddling up together to make my life a pain in the ........ Have a picture to look at while I go have a beer. Caliper is in work to get someone to help me before I lauch in.

But with a calm breath and the thought of beer I'm a little happier as i just ordered some new harnesses. In blue of course :)

That's a bugger about the caliper mate :P

Lets just hope all goes swimmingly tomorrow for you :) *Fingers crossed*! :dontgetit: Did you find that the shorter hose on the caliper just wasn't "right"?? I thought it should have been that little bit longer! Could have just been me.

Nice harnesses :dozing:

Tis the Allspeed ones that are designed to be like that to help clear the caliper when turning.

Jack they have got a real tight bend radius on them which does look a bit dodgy but should be alright. I've bought a T piece that goes at the rear subby and am gonna use that at the front rather than the normal T I took off. Got a few unions too so when the caliper is fixed all should be good.

Spence I'm liking that mate. I'm in work tomorrow but if I get a chance I'll give you a call. Might just need that.

The 16v was relating to the 16v mini site I borrowed the text from, the 14mm cylinder is just an AP one as in the link

Thats a real bugger on the nipple front! >_<

I'm moving my brake lines on the back of the subframe aswell, some pictures I've seen of the allspeed ones didnt look right, as on yours. Might of just been the picture though?

You been checking out any more rads yet?

Got a place to go to speak about my rad. Gonna take the ones I have and they are gonna mod one to fit. Just gotta get my arse there. Cheers anyway Spence, sorry i had to go as there was a bloody 737 trying to park next to me as I was talking to you. How inconsiderate of them ;) Thanks for looking anyway. I'm going for a bigger bleed nipple. Have drilled out the old stuff and will cut a new thread and get this baby in.

If not ANYONE GOT A SPARE NEAR SIDE 4 POT METRO CALIPER......?

BEER IS HELPING

I'll try and get some pictures of the seats for you. They are buckets that recline and are very nice to sit in. What's your plans for the exhaust manifold then?
