cheers mate. I'll find the answer somewhere. Managed to get the crank pulley off and so all the covers are off and now at my mates spray shop. Fingers crossed they will get done soon and it can all go back together. Got most of my seals and some on order so when the covers are done it can all go into the frame =]

got my driveshafts done today. All I need now is to get the clips that go around the boots. I left the balance things on (sorry forgot what the haynes called them) do I need these?

Hi there, I'm not sure either but have emailed a good friend of mine who used to run the Synchro motorsport Team when they ran the same Civic Vti taht you have used as a donor car. As soon as I get a response I shall drop you a message.

Good luck with it all.

Martin.

PS had the reply from my friend and he says cut them off. They are dynamic mass dampers and as they are not likely to do anything and losing wieght from the drive train is always a benefit. So get out your hacksaw and get them off.

Gives us a shout if you need a hand at any time and I'll pop round if i'm free.

Martin.

Edited with the PS.

Nice one mate. I'll get them removed. All the stuff is up at brize at the moment so not a huge amount going on here but if I need a hand I'll give you a shout. Cheers

I've worked out with a little help from a friend that it's 3/16 size pipe. Will be getting some soon. Got to the engine today. Got the new cambelt on with new tentioner and new water pump. Should do me a good few years now. Slamed on the inlet manifold and injectors. Still need to find the bolts to fit the injectors onto the intake. Sorry about the poor pictures. had to use the phone as my camera was still at home

Have been trying to work out what this is. It's on the back under the intake manifold. I'm sure i made a note of what it is somewhere but can't fingure it out. Anyone be able to help me out??

Yo monkey !

That is part of the breather system, there normally is a pipe from the spare hole you have on top of the black box to the inlet manifold what has a one way valve fixed in between the runners what has a one way valve then from that it goes to the out let on the inlet manifold near the throttle cable in the middle of the inlet manifold. i try and get some pictures for you.

Billy

Nice one Billy. pictures would be very good if you can. I'm sure I'll get my head around it as the frame, engine and car come together. i just like to try and get it all in my head first.

xBR4DLEY - cheers mate you must have had a bit of time on your hands :( it's quite a long build thread now. Never knew it would get this long. I'll try and keep the updates coming. The car should be going off the road next month to get the engine change started, then pictures will be flowing in.

Good news got my engine parts back from the spray shop. Looking good. Have slapped them on the engine and it's looking good. Was gonna take my frame there and get the engine in but we're supposed to be getting snowed in (panic buy panic buy) so am gonna stay in and let the weather pass. Plus I got a cold from working outside in -7deg weather the other night so can't be arsed moving. Got some metro turbo 4 pot's the other day. Gonna give them a clean and a refurb and get them ready. Worked out alot cheaper then the shops so I happy.
