been busy with work and have not been able to get to do any work on the car. Having work done on the house this week so not looking like I'm gonna get anything done ;D the loom is so close to coming out. Might try getting to it some evening if possible and get the bad boy off.

well the work on the house was done in record time as I had 2 crews turn up to do it :) so today I got to the honda. Got the loom out. Don't know if I'm happy with this or not as this is what it looks like.

sooooooo much wire :D but will give it a strip down and see what is left in the end. So now the car is looking a bit bare

and also got the gearbox off so I can get the engine on a stand. Only problem was (didn't realise this before removing the box) the gearbox housing bolts are not long enough to go through the bracket on the stand and into the engine. Need to fine some longer ones with the same size thread. Anyone know what they are??? Would be a great help. Thinking they are m 8 bolts but all the ones I found were too small both in length and diameter. Is m 8 to do with the thread size?? So confused.

looks like I've got someone to put a base map on the p28 ecu I have. Maybe with the launch control and stuff. Might lower the vtech point too.

good thing is it's not too dirty so should clean up well. Got most of the mounting point off i don't need like ACC pump. But the engine mount by it is shot so need a new one.

What state is the gear box?

If my memory serves me right when we used to rebuild the engine on the Synchro race cars we used the input shaft from the gearbox to align the clutch. If you need any assistance let me know and I can speak to my friend.
Just a quick question on the sump are you using the standard one or are you fitting a modified one with improved baffles. I know the K20 engine suffered badly from low pressure under severe cornering. We had to try a few different types of sumps and baffles. I know a man that could possibly help with some engine work and if you are tempted to have a bit of a rebuild and tune up then let me know.

Good luck with the car. I would love to see it once you have finished as I am very tempted to do a similar conversion my self some time in the future.

Martin.

The gearbox is good but have been told that i don't need an alignment tool just do it by eye. Will see how it goes someone in the motor club has one just need to see if it fits. I'm gonna use the normal sump for now but will see how the pressure is on cornering. If not I'll get it modded. When it's done your more than welcome to have a look.

Well I've been doing a second job on my days off to get some dollar so not been able to get to the honda engine for a while. Will update that when it happens. In the mean time I got an injection fuel tank from Malvern show. Have slaved my honda pump into it and it looks good. Just gotta clean and spray up the tank and that's all ready to go.

Then a phone call from my missus today when I was out and look what happened to come to the house

Got my skunk 2 through the other day and fitted my throttle body onto it. My cam belt kit has come through and am loving the heavy duty cv's. I do love a good bit a machine work  All I gotta do now is work out how to fit it all :P

Oh and I also got this to try when the engine is in the frame. Not paid yet so can still give it back if it ain't gonna work :w00t:
