Got some shiney bits on the car before going out for a meal and lots of drinks. Loving my grille. Works so well. Check out the dirty knee's. No one is supposed to know but that happened the day we picked the car up from the lockup. Hehe can't get it off.

Looks stunning!

You can hardly even tell that it's a removable front. Is that the one from TDK? He's got my business if it is!

It is from TDK. We picked it up, brought it home and offered it straight up to the car and it fitted straight away. Can't fault it. Very helpfull bloke too so if you have anything you need in fiberglass I'd go to him first. I know I wished I had go my arches from him now.

Fantastic!

I'll order my 2 piece front and my boot lid from him when the time comes then :).

Watching your progress closely, love the colour.

cheers guys. I'm happy with the way it's going. Am glad people are happy with that colour. Wait till the arches are on. A bit bummed the paint was so poo to work with but that can be fixed another time as I said. Got all the workings of the drivers door in. Window going in tomorrow. Got the looms in. Dash wires and dash rails are in. Going for the passenger door tomorrow and the tank and battery. Then maybe I can get here started. Wooooo soooo close now.

Funny, when i spoke to Dave when picking up the front end with ginger_Monkey he told us that they were all made in his own moulds. And after seeing a front from Tdk and one from abs next to each other they are definatly from diferent moulds and i personally know where i will be getting mine from.

Have to agree, the TDK ones do look like they fit alot better.

As I said earlier, he's definitly got my business.

Some stuff is made by abs for him. Can't remember what. But alot is his own work. He defo get's the trailer tubs from abs.

Progress today. Me happy as the car was started today  Was a bit of an effort though as i had run the fuel lines dry by running the engine at the start of the project with no tank  so had a big airlock in the main fuel feed line from the back of the car. Had to syphone out some fuel back out the tank and using some washer pipe started to put some into the line just before the pump. A few mouthfulls of fuel later and alot of cranking and she fired up. Got all the back stuff in bar the boot lid. The exhaust is sorted and the handbrake connected up again.

Bloody got a quick disconnect battery clamp but it don't want to fit on the terminal. Bigger hammer required I think

got one window in and the door is finished, just needs some sort of door cards. But then more problems came when another pot of paint came to the house. Was happy as I could do the touching up needed but when I opened the tin it's a different colour. There goes any chance of the body work being finished to a decent standard before the run. Silly people. You can see the difference as I did a little tester on the roof gutter to show ya.

Plus it was raining so couldn't get the car outside to finish the other door. Pray for sunshine tomorrow.
