I need to use graphite to grease up my clutch release plunger/bearing and clevis pins.

can't find anywhere locally that sells it, i.e: halfords / partco

do push bikes use this kind of stuff?

Dead hard to get hold of these days. I've had a small tub for years and use it very sparingly! Worked wonders on the heatsink fan in my laptop.

However, I did see some recently, but not sure where it was and can't remember as I didn't buy any.

That's not much help is it

I think I may have seen it at my local nut/bolt trade outlet - they have a small shop area - but I might be getting confused with copper grease.

I have certainly never seen it at any 'normal' shop.

If you can't find any and no one else knows where to get any, give me a shout and I'll have a look for if you like.

Found some here

Try the James Walker Company, they manufacture graphite packing products for pump/steam gland packing and actually manufacture a graphite grease - http://www.jameswalk...ite_grease.html

Failing that, try one of the main petroleum companies (Mobil, etc.) but check their "Industrial" index not automotive, graphite based products are used on heavy duty gears when bedding in (dry lubricant).

Best of luck
