Essentially a wastegate is a a BOV before the turbo. And Im running 2 of them hehe

ok bit of research later i understand now that a wastegate is before the turbo? and releases exhaust gas to stop the turbo spooling once off the throttle but on the other a BOV is after the turbo meaning when the throttle body is closed it opens to release excess pressure of air. lol im new to this stuff correct me if im wrong and apparently there both illegal in some countrys because of emissions but can be made legal by redirecting the flow through the cat as shown on yours - i found some more pictures of the baby being made! http://www.ht-archiv...t...2960&page=3

Correct!

Technically yes if it doesnt recirculate its not legal in most areas. Not sure about the UK but in the US it is illegal. Do people do it? Yep, all the time. Most drag cars have whats called a atmospheric dump for the wastegate. Its hella loud dumping atmospheric. My car doesnt have a cat either but a muffler. In CA I fall under exempt so I can do anything I want.
