Thanks Marroon!

Its getting a few things refabricated still but should be done in the next week or two. Should have the new manifold and the direct port nitrous installed by then too. >_< >_<

Air jacks are used in many race venues around the world. Here in the states NASCAR primarily but many others use them.

A air line is hooked up to a central line in the car that goes to each of the four (usually) air jacks. Once hooked up it raises the car within a fraction of a second. Some are hooked up to an onboard air source (like mine) that uses compressed air to raise the car. Once the source feed line is disconnected or in my case a valve the air releases out through a release vent and the car is lowered.

The biggest problem with using airjacks on our cars is where to you put them....its a challenge.

Right. That is real cool.

But is it a compromise by having an 'onboard' air source? You're clearly building a car for the track that is just about road legal, so how come you're not making/using a stand alone air jack system, say for use in the pits, etc?

Cheers for the quick reply, Lyle.

The benefit for me using a standalone system is that I can jack the car up anywhere I want track or not. Since this car will be a show car as well i can jack the car up at venues without the need for a compressor. The drawback is weight added to the car.

I will be using a system that can use either compressed air onboard or a external compressor. So in essence I can use both. Onboard for shows, external for the track to save weight.
