Another tip based on my bitter experience....after you've adjusted the tension on the belt, be careful when tightening up the pulley wheel nut.

I was a bit over-enthusiastic with the ratchet and sheared the bolt off. :withstupid: Just nip it up !!!

This happened the evening before L2B 2007 and I couldn't get the part in time.....had to leave the mini behind and went in my company Prius. OOHHHH the shame of it !!!!

Wow I'm reading this thread late! Just helped me remove the alternator on my MPI. Thanks for helpful posts everyone!
