More or less

I'm picky about the dirver seat position and it needs to push all the way back, but I care less about the passenger so got my drivers seat spot on then put the other one wherever it fit.

Ah lol.. these will be fixed probably. OMP do offer sliders but they would have to be mounted behind the cross member regardless so I wouldn't want them any further back than that or I wouldn't be able to reach some of the controls on my dash!! Not to mention that I'm considering harnesses too which would restrict movement even more! The added few inches of leg room is vital for someone my height, though. Now I just need to decide if such wonderful seats outweigh the need for rear seats......

How is that even a question?! Are you building a car for you or for the hypothetical passenger in the rear? ;D

That is a very fair point... and - I guess it would stop all the 'oh could you give me and so and so a lift to...' requests! - Nope, only got one passenger seat! muahahahaha!

GOOD TASTE! Exactly the ones I want to refurb

are the rst seats narrow enough to slide past the rear bins?

They slide past all pockets front and rear :) I had front pockets in with these seats until i got my new door cards =]

The door pockets used to touch the sides of the seats, but they slid back and forth really easily. The rear ones don't touch at all.

I've got Astra Coupe seats in the front of my mini but only the passenger seat has access to the rear although it's a tight fit.

RS Turbo RECARO's

I have these & plan to fit them in mine, any chance of a picture of the mounting system you have ?.

The stock subframes are not far from fitting from what i can see on mine as theres a L shape at thefront rails so you can still tilt them.
Any help would be appreciated anyways.

Clifford

Yeah no worries, i made a mock up plan of what i had to do.

IGNORE THE BLUE PIECE DOWN THE MIDDLE AS THIS ISN'T/WASN'T NEEDED.

Black dot's = Bolt's or Welds (your choice) I welded the outer black dots on the red bars and bolts/nuts on the inner ones.

Cheers,

Iain.

Using the cobra subframes is an OK solution but they sit reeally quite high for recaro's or at least they did for mine. I had to cut them down quite a lot to get them to an OK height. Id like to make my own tho that fix to the floor to get the ideal high and position.

Mine don't sit high at all and i have done nothing to them, feel's like you're on the floor!
