Rear seat base shortened by about 10cm to give greater leg room. Seat back had a hole cut into the rear frame to sit over the Mini's hump.
Finally new carpet strips to the sides to cover bare metal.
Two days, job done

Have you got a pic and dimension of the hole you had to cut in the back seat

No sorry that was one picture I forgot to take. I cut a rectangular section from the rear steel plate to the height of the parcel shelf and roughly the width of the centre grey upholstery section, just enough for the bump on the mini to fit inside the seat against the foam inner.

I have these & plan to fit them in mine, any chance of a picture of the mounting system you have ?.

The stock subframes are not far from fitting from what i can see on mine as theres a L shape at thefront rails so you can still tilt them.
Any help would be appreciated anyways.

Yeah no worries, i made a mock up plan of what i had to do.

IGNORE THE BLUE PIECE DOWN THE MIDDLE AS THIS ISN'T/WASN'T NEEDED.

Black dot's = Bolt's or Welds (your choice) I welded the outer black dots on the red bars and bolts/nuts on the inner ones.

Cheers,

Iain.

Looking at the measurements below, could anyone tell me if OMP donington's should fit? (They would have to be mounted behind the cross member!

from memory cobra monaco's are 510mm wide and they fit with plenty of clearance past the bin, so these should be ok. dont take my word for it though.

Providing you aren't too fussy of the seat position laterally, ie. are happy to move them inwards to clear the bins then anything up to about 580mm width at the rear will fit.

Also, most bucket seats taper back at the rear. Sizes listed are at widest point. General car seats are often wider at the back due to the adjuster mechanisms.

So what we're saying is, providing i'm not a fussy tw*t they'll fit, without getting too close to handbrake etc? :D

Such a shame about no chance of rear access with those seats though.
