Ahh, they look very nice, I don't have the money to have someone to alter seats if I buy some, I dont actually know what seats I want yet, I liked the look of the rear GTV's, just deciding on some comfortable front seats, preferably black leather..

Anyone know if BMW 3 series e36 4 door seats fit? Seen a tasty full black leather set I can get cheap so it's either them, rs2000 recaros(cloth), Mk4 Golf(cloth) or some Civic type-r seats that would need a bloody good clean. Any suggestions which would be easier to fit?

Just picked a pair of black 1/2 leather Recaros in very good condition for £50! I think they are the same as the Rover 800 Vitese Recaros. I just need to go over them with some leather conditioner & recolour the drivers bolster as it's a little faded (but not ripped).

I've noticed it says that the Jaguar XJS seats fit in a mini, do you think the rear ones would too? http://www.ebay.co.u...3#ht_500wt_1202

Anyone know a reasonably cheap car seat in mass manufacture, that will allow plenty of room for the handbrake and plenty of rear access?

Had forgotten about this thread - I meant to post pics of my seats back in 2010 when I fitted them.

BMW M3 electric leather seats. Nice and easy to fit - wiring was a complete bar-steward though!! They each had a massive ECU in with digital control switches. Tried to get the ECU's working, but they automatically shutdown if they don't receive signal from any of the other BMW ECU's (canbus). So, I ripped out all of the wiring and switches, and ECU's and made a new switch plate with some new switches and several relays. Was very high on solder!

Anyway - they're really comfy, quite easy to get in the back (although you do have to wait for the motor to wind the seat forward), and and fully adjustable (backrest, fwd/bckwd, up/down, tilt, and even the side bolsters inflate/deflate for sorts/comfort feel).

wow - I'm impressed that you got the electrics working !

p.s. I've got some Audi TT seats coming in soon for my Mini. Would you offer this as a service ?

Haha, not something I've thought about to be honest. Wouldn't be opposed to it, but would be a lot of hassle transporting the seats round if you're not local!

What year are your TT seats from? They might not be too complicated if they're from an earlier model. Mine were a a PITA because they were from a 2009 M3 (E92 I think is the Bimmer code), and because it's a Bimmer everything has to be over-complicated. Like I say, with just a positive and a negative lead each seat ECU and priginal switches did work fully.... for 30 seconds, then they shut down completely because they aren't getting a canbus signal from all of the other BMW ECU's.... Why an electric seat needs to be getting signals from Lights, Ignition, Air con, etc. ECU's is beyond me!
