anyone know of any mass market cars that tilt & slide? I would love to be able to get the kids in the back without all the SPI seat drama.

Any flat mounted seat can be fitted into a mini, if you take of the seat bracket on the cross member, turn it around and drill holes in the rear of the cross member, you gain a few inches. And as for rear seats. . . What are they? haha.

I used a cobra subframe, and put metal strips between the mounting points on the under side of the seat. This was because the recaro,s have a wider mounting than cobras.

But the cobra subframes need a little shortening to get the seats sitting lower as it makes them sit higher than standard seats.

If I had time, a garage and a mig welder I would make up some fixed brackets to have the seats sit lower and make them more stable as you do get some roll when you go round corners because of the hight and the narrow design of cobra subframes. but for the time being its fine and looks great!

But the only thing I would do differently to these seats is have them done in leather not vinyl, as they squeek and are a little bit more rigid in the fabric than leather.

How comfortable are the Honda Civic Type R seats? Thinking of getting some & recovering them so would like some opinions.

I saw that the Alfa Romeo GTV seats fit in the rear, is there a way of the front seats fitting too?

Have a look at this: http://autominiregis...111&page=9#4655

Alfa 156 rather than GTV, and he had the rears professionally altered to fit, but they look a treat.
