After looking in this thread I've released the amounts of possibilities there are. I want to fit some new seats (non mini).

Looking not to pay over £120.

Have been looking at rover 800 Vitesse Recaros, Mazda Mx5 seats etc.

Any suggestions which are the best for my price?

Would prefer them to be Black ideally.

Ali

get the vitesse recaros if you can they look more modern than most i have one as my office chair i can sit in it for hours just sold my rover 220 coupe seats they look the same but the recaros are far better

Well, I finally got my MG ZR Monaco seats installed. Making brackets for them wasn't too bad, the brackets are still bare aluminum, but they will be powder coated black here soon. If you have any questions on how to make the seat brackets I can try to get some better pictures if you want.

Have you a pic of the rear seats. I'm getting MG ZR's tomorrow and wonder how the backs will work

I reckon Fiat Cinquecento seats would fit, the Sporting ones are really comfy and pretty cheap too. Good side support and the whole seat tilts like the Minis seats.

I've just got some leather seats from a bmw. They're in cracking condition and really comfy, only problem is they're from a four door so no tilt action. I was hoping that if i position the runners as far forwards as possible and combined with tilting the back as far forward as they'll go then they they'll give enough space to get in to the back but after a trial fit i'm not sure if this will work to any success. The only folk that'll be getting in the back will be my two young sons but by the time i get this car finished they'll be grown men! I'm thinking to hinge the front mounts but does anyone have any ideas on making a locking device for the rear mounts so i could tip them forwards?

Porsche 928 front and rear seats. They fit a bit of tweeking needed for the rear. Don't worry about the rear centre consol that's all planed out. Dead comfy. Need to get them retrimed aswell

anyone tried BMW e30 recaro sports? I would love to find something that would do the tilt and slide like the a3 seats earlier in this thread.

Not long had my Mini and I can't profess to being a seat boffin', a mate of mine told me that the front seats in my '67 Deluxe look like Porsche 928 seats but I am unsure, can't tell you where the back seats are from either, they may have been custom made. The guy I bought it off didn't really have much info either. See pics and let me know what you think:

The fronts do look like retrimed 928 seats.

The rear is probably just a standard Mini bench retrimed in the same material.

Looks gorgeous!

Thanks, she is a gorgeous looking car and runs like a dream too, thank you for your insight as well.

For others that are looking into 928 seats, I would say they don't provide much room. I am 6ft tall and if I were any taller I would have to change them, not in terms of leg room but head room. My girlfriend who is about 5' 6" however fits in the car perfectly.

Your convertible looks really cool by the way. With the Australian Summer approaching I wish sometimes I had such a car!

I believe that the 928 v8 came with the squat seems like mine. And the others came with the tombstons style seats. Wich I've also got in my garage some where. I got my seats of my tattoo artis, as he took them out to fit electric ones

Ok cool, I did consider getting some better fitted seats but I just love the ones installed at the moment.

I also have seat frames that were originally in the car. I'm going to fix them up get them re-upholstered etc and see what I want to do then, a full leather interior might be nice.

I think Cobra classic will more fit to your mini classic even cobra club-man is nice but it's too trendy and sporty!! Where as classic seat will give elegant look.
