Would these version of the MX5 seats fit in a Mini ?

Posted Image

880mm high, 500mm wide and 635mm deep. (Take all dimensions to be +/- 10mm!) From the front of the backrest to the front edge of the seat is approx 500mm. From the bottom of the headrest to the bottom of where the backrest meets the seat iis approx 575mm.

Advice appreciated as I have been offered a pair in black for cheap and they include built in Headrest Speakers too, I hate my current bucket seats and would like something a bit more refined/comfy.

Well, I finally got my MG ZR Monaco seats installed. Making brackets for them wasn't too bad, the brackets are still bare aluminum, but they will be powder coated black here soon. If you have any questions on how to make the seat brackets I can try to get some better pictures if you want.

had a trial fitting of my 200SX seats. rear bench went in amazingly nicely after a small adjustment to the rear bins with a grinder and the fronts fit in quite well too

the top of the rear seats needed cutting so thats why theres no cover on it. all i did was cut it into a rectangle and it fits well, although it stick up a few inches above the parcel shelf. and theres gona be absolutely no space for passengers unless they have no legs. oh well

Hi i might be buying soime rover 220 seats, just wondering how they would fit in? what i would need to buy for them to fit. of can they be fitted to the standard mini subframe?

I have just put 220 coupe seats in mine.
You will need to make a bracket to fit the butterfly clips in the mini and for the back i have fitted them to a 40mm x 20mm steel box section, thay is secured under the existing seat hoop and than bolts directly to the seat rail.

In 1 of my old mini's I had bucked seats from a Simca 1000 Rally on custom brackets. Best seats I've ever had. Sold the car a couple of years ago and kept the seats for a future project.

my mates mini came with seats out of a granada estate (old one)
they were just welded to the floor at one side and bolted through the floor at the other
bit of a bodge in this example, but theyre leather and really comfy.

im using them as seating in my room at the moment
