Well, I did ask a guy at work who I thought had one of these....
but his is apparently the U600, which he hates in comparison to his old Sony W800i thingy. He says the buttons feel pap, the phone takes ages to load up and the camera is useless and takes ages to take a photo....

Dunno how the 600 compares to the 700, but it's a start! :)

my dad has one, and had it a few months. It is a good phone; very similar to the u600 but with 3g capacity; a harder menue system.. and the ringtone's are not very loud.. I have the benny hill ringtone on my samsung e900 and it's twice as loud as on his for example.

but he loves it, just has no one to 3g with.

Not sure about the U600, a friend has the G600 and its not wonderfull, but ok.
I just got teh Sony Ericsson K850I last weekend, and I must say the camera is really good, probably caus its got cybershot. Its a bit slow on the menus, and it takes getting used to the touch screen, but the camer makes up for alot of it.

I used to have Nokia phones then I moved to samsungs and have never had any problems with them. Mine is a bit like that, the model down from it though, the e900. My older sister and my friend Chris have this phone, looks good and they like it :D

I have a samsung D900, older model, but it's alright... had it about a year now though and some of the buttons hav to be pressed a bit hard, on the odd occasion... the camera is rather good, the only problem I've had is with the memory cards! I spent £20 on a 1GB card, and it NEVER reads it properly!

I have the U600, the phone is a zillion times faster to load up than my old Nokia N80, and the touch screen buttons are fine once you get used to them.

The camera does take ages to take a photo though, just as you think "It must have taken" and move it clicks and you get a blur :teehee:

My first one had a fault whereby it reset itself when you tried to type a text mesage :P but I got a replacement from O2 and this one seems to be fine (so far - only had it a month).

The phone is very small and sleek and the screen is very good quality (crystal clear) as is the sound :-

I got mine in July but if I'd known they were bringing out a 3G version I'd have waited as it's my first phone for 3 years without 3G and I miss the features

Oh well... only 7 months til upgrade... :teehee:

Thanks guys and Girls for a good responce...just to let you know ive had mine now for about a week, just wanted to hear a few views before everyone starts slating Samsung...this is my first Samsung ever really, always had Nokia my last being the 6680, which is also a very nice easy to use fone...but hey we all like a change, and variety is the spice of life ( looks at wife on couch and winks )

anyways...3G, amazing camara, pixels soooo many colours, its even got a liveWallpaper, picture of a castle with flying birds and changes for day to night, all pretty much useless ******** but a nice gesture.

Downfalls, the touch screen buttons are sooooo sensive if you brush over accidently them your off on the internet or calling your boss at 2 in the morning, and if you want to do that you find yourself pushing really hard with no luck at all....another thing is aswell, you cant change the SMS ring tone...dont ask me why, just a Samsung thing.

Im getting used to the fone, its coool aswell putting files on, you can transfer your songs and films from your PC on to a MicroSD and then just slot that in your Fone....pretty amazing stuff!!

" Ive got as little problem at the moment though, the MP3 only plays one song, like ive transfered a Album and it shows the whole album but it stops at each end of each tune!! " *doesThatMakeSense???*

You can change the message tone on my U600

And I tried to install the software for mine on the computer but it stuffed up due to Vista compatibility problems so I have to transfer songs to my old phone and bluetooth them to the Samsung  (haven't got a memory card yet)

work colleague has this model - she says its a complete finger smudge magnet, and its notoriously slow.

I have to agree with the latter - I gave up on my Samsung with in just a few months because it was simply taking forever to do anything.

Sony Errics. have had the right idea for a long time now on any of their phones. Fast, no nonsense.
