A boost gauge will be useful, as will an oil pressure guage. I'd also fit an oil temp gauge to determine if an oil cooler's needed at all.

Are they all relatively easy to wire up? Do they all have their own illumination to see them in the dark or will I have to install a light behind the dash of some kind?

Sorry about all the questions, but want to get this right first time and get as much done when the engine is out.

Luckily though I can get all the gauges from work (halfords) so get them cheaper as well!

First question is level of difficulty to fit, how long would it take, my brother is well into his knowledge on mini's and a friend has supercharged his before now, so I have help.

Reliability, how reliable is this?

Alos whats the deal with the intake manifold and needle, I don't want to spend 1500 english tokens on the kit, when I could save £££'s in doing it myself.

Lastly, the decompression plate, can this be made or anywhere it can be bought from?

Help please, very intrigued into doing this and opinions are welcomed!

Thankyou

kit is easy to fit if made well

Just had a thought and a few conversations with people and I've been informed that a standard 1275 and box will not handle the extra power. Therefore I was thinking if using a Turbo box, turbo block and stage 3 head will be better? As the turbo will be built to handle more power than the standard 1275, it will be stronger, am I correct??

Also been told that driveshafts may snap with 13" wheels on with the extra power?

So confused on what to believe....help please

Thanks

turbo gearbox is no different to non turbo one, except for the nose bearing which is slightly larger and about 5 times the price. i don't know of any people still running this bearing, i'm certainly not anyway.

Again the turbo block is no different to any of the later A+ ones either.

I think what people mean is that a standard engine/box won't take the extra power. If you're looking at a fair power hike then you need to look at building a motor/box specific to your application rather than just dumping it onto a std engine.

the driveshaft thing is untrue aswell.

except my love that the while the jonspeed kit is fine the rest of your engine leaves a bit to be desired,,,, need i say more lol, (has a file of evidential pm's) lol. seriously though your car is hilariously quick with that kit on and sounds completely awesome, i know youve had no problems and you do give that engine some serious stick!
