So I look at the edge of the chrome and find 1 x small grub-type screw + a few other press stud rivetty thingys. Taken out little screw (what use is it anyway??) and then ..........................................???????? Daren't try and drill out other doobries otherwise probable shatter job. How 2 remove glass safely and use for template for perspex?
Any ideas anyone?
As a backup I've got some blue tint film I can use but the perspex is so sexxxxxy!!!!!!

Got to use glass templates now for doors, windscreen etc to cut out " da sexy blue" perspex.
Anyone any ideas on rear opening windows - how to remove glass safely from frame - any takers????
Want to put in blue perspex - much better than film!!!!!

Alan, coul always resort to buying fitted rear window rubbers. Just means they wont open.
Would like a bit of fresh air @ night, so will pull my fancy curtains too but have rear windows slightly open.
This is the problem - got a small screw other end of frame with a few of these rivetythingies as well, only one this end. What do people reckon try to drill out or just smash glass and drop perspex int frame somehow.
Opinions pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanx in advance.

not easy from what he suggested, thats why he wont do same day tints on mini rear windows, and cant do them while you wait at shows etc.

my buddy john does window tinting professionally, and I'm pretty sure he says to drill out rivets, remove glass ( he would then tint it ) and refit with aid of jig to hold trim in right position, and then put new rivet in.

Thanx for reply mate - thats why I have 2 options. I've already got 6metres of blue tint as last resort but I'm going down the carefully taking out rivets route (if glass breaks.shatters then so what, I don't need it anyway!!) and then drop dark blue tint perspex in.
Worst case scenario then I'll have to get a pro to tint it for me on my spare set of windows.

Yes thanx mate - brakes are ok @ mo. I'll have better idea after the weekend.
WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
Stared at a rear opening window for a while, took out little screw, got a small hammer, stanley blade, 2 small screwdrivers and thought - what the hell, go 4 it.
Put small blade s/driver to edge of frame and gently tapped with hammer - it moves!!!!!
Gently worked screwdrivers along glass, sticking stanley blade under rubber seal where it was sticking and............................................
More to come soon - its gonna be bloooooo.
