the front half of the cage is what i believe to be fia approved (this was made by roll centre i believe)

looks like a safty devices front

yeh the front is Safety Devices FIA approved. The doorbars are rollcentre

I got my new doors fitted (that had been sitting in our dining room for 2 years ) they just need a few shims to get them to line up properly, hopefully this week i may be able to get my hand on an engine for the car, but we shall see.

Finally made some progress (albeiit a little).

Today i got off my ass and made the bulkhead box for the gear linkage. I cut the bulkhead out where the box needs to go. I now need to cut the hole in the box for the gear selector, then the box can be welded into place.

about 2 hours 2 make it and cut the hole, the rest of the day was spent doing BH2NRR stuff

well of course, thats why the car was taking so long

Collected the engine for the car last night and did a little bit this evening. Took a little longer than expected, but i removed the f16 box that came with it and replaced it with my f18 with the hydro clutch.

Are you insinuating that ive not done any work?

I may point out the hydraulic hose near the bottom in the bottom picture and the huge cable clutch lever in the top.

Got the engine trial fitted in the subframe this evening. Only have 1mm of clearance from the suspension pivot shaft to the gearbox So im going to have to pull the engine back out again and replace the trust washer on the pivot shaft for a thinner one.
