Looking good Mr Mike.

I know I shouldn't say it out loud (or type it on a forum) but I am really thinking of going for a C20XE lump too, I've even been hunting around scrappies and bidding on the odd one on ebay >_<

What kinda price is the allspeed frame?

Wasnt cheap, but alot easier, and quicker than me trying to make a frame myself. As i know if i did, id still be making it in 10 years >_<

Plus when you actually think about all the time, and development in CAD and FEA that goes into one of these, it makes it worth it.

Looking good RacingGreen. My frame took about 5-6 weeks to be made, but I found I was kept busy with other bits in the mean time.

Yeah rob told me around 5 weeks turnaround.

Like you say. Got lots of things to be getting on with before it comes. Need to get on with replacing the boot floor and tubbing the arches.

I was just going to cut out the arch section out, then mark up on the quarter panel where i need to cut and then weld a section of sheet steel bent to the shape of the arch. Hopefully doing this i should be able to get the car as low as i want it.

go for the allspeed billet driveshafts aswell as their CV joints, but ive already got a set of calibra ones.

Do they make billet inner joints as well? can't you buy just their shafts and outer joints and use the calibra inners?

Tiny update, as i'm really bored.

Decided to sell the rear subframe and go for a rear beam to save weight.

Also, i'm now looking for an F18 gearbox, as they had a hydro clutch because i will be using a willwood pedal box.

James, i did think of that, but ive been looking for an f18WR box with a hydro clutch so i could use a willwood pedal box. Do you know if its possible to convert the f16 to a hyro clutch?
