My advice would be to go up to .75's at least for the Wilwoods, unsure about the correct size for the sierra calipers but as they're a single piston I would have thought that .625's would have sufficed. Problem is if your getting a squidgy pedal on one m/c then it'll affect the whole feel of the pedal.

Will need to ditch the sierra calipers for racing anyway me thinks so will have to go that route eventually.

We're going to give them another go, if it doesn't work I'll get the .725's

Why would they need to be ditched?
Cheers

Just following suit with Chris really, running wilwood's at the rear.
I'll see how the car performs first before next year but am expecting to have to upgrade.

I thought Z-Cars ran 2 sets of callipers?!?
The Sierra ones as they have the handbrake feature and the Wilwoods for the improved stopping; they don't or didn't have a handbrake calliper hence the 2 types being fitted.
Happy to stand corrected on this

zcars use the sierra caliper only for the mechanical handbrake if willwoods are fit too.
if you dont fit willwoods then you have to use the sierra calipers for the footbrake and the handbrake.
i dont think they use sierras calipers anymore has they are getting harder to get hold of, think they now use renault or vw ones
john
I have two sets of calipers on mine but that was at special request as I ordered the race spec version which came with 4x 4pots and the Sierra calipers were needed for a mechanical handbrake, as far as I know two sets is not the norm....
As above happy to stand corrected.

If need be I'll remove the mounting tabs for the sierra ones and weld on some lugs to accept the Wilwoods.

Les - any updates? It's been a while so I am expecting some progress...!?!?!
Hi Andy,
Yes, albeit slowly (as usual).
Simple stuff, just the brakes to bleed up.
I believe in making everything simple so I've been using the rivnut tool a lot !! just in terms of access and dismantling. I've re-done a few things to be honest.
Roof is now off but I've been seriously dragging my arse with making the rest of the carbon fibre panels.
Problem I've found is one knock back and I lose interest or if work is busy its put on the back burner.
I have a couple of pictures on facebook and a video from a while back.

Have had to order some more carbon to do the roof, the first attempt was

I bought a Radical rear diffuser off fleabay which after a bit of trimming fits the car really well.
I've been on a few test drives and had an issue with my brakes but all appears to be sorted now

Fire extinguisher needs plumbing in and i need to get the carbon clear coated.
Track day coming very sooonn
