That's such a shame chap.

After all that work you did on him .

How come there was rust forming at the front seams already? No rust prevention underneath the paint work?

did some interior work on the bean on sunday.
i fitted the dash rail, switch panel and steering collum that i bought from bingly, nice original 70's stuff!

this is what my interior looked like:
Posted Image

i then set about taking off the sterring collum, i filed the sheer bolt fat on two sides and gripped it with some moles, worked a treat
Posted Image
Posted Image

with that out the way i fitted my dash rail, which i covered in viynal (that how you spell that!!?) as it was grey. i didnt have to glue or clup it on, as the works dash panels i have hold it firmly in place!
Posted Image

i then cleaned up the 70's collum and gave it a lick of hamerite satin black paint
Posted Image

it all went back together nicely, i matched up all the colours of wires and it all works! well, apart from my flash and horn, but they weren't working before, any ideas??
Posted Image

i then wired my switch panel in and it all works too, pics to follow as it got dark!! its weird having the stalk on the other side and the wipers on a switch on the panel!! ill get used to it though!

ill post pics of it all finished when i get some!

Looking good! Love the style of everything, just looks right in a funny 70's kind of way.

I think that the flasher unit is on the same fuse as the interior light, i had the same problem with mine changed the fuse and it all worked!!

ahaa! that would make sense as my interior light has stopped working!! ill have a look!!

right, finaly got my act together and ive taken some photos for you all of the finished interior!
i got a CB airel for my birthday so i got my CB in too.. along with my Pen Holder! just need to make a stopwatch holder now, for my stopwatch! i also need a 52mm fuel guage for my empty hole!

so thats him for now, im thinking about getting a single speedwell for the driver and using the 4 point harness ive got and then a standard front seat and seatbelt for the passenger, as i seem to take people in the back, and people have to clamber through my bulky seats which is comic, but impractical...
