Are you allowed to salvage parts from him? I've never written a car off myself so I don't know.

Terribly sorry to hear about this, always admired this little mini, bags of character is a sheer understatement.
I'm gonna miss your day-to-day schinanigans and new mods, i'm sure it'll all work out
Good choice of alternative motor, The GT is a cracking car, my dad restored one when he was younger, unique sound but the rear wheel drive is very twitchy in the rain, so be wary!
My dad's was reg. GLG 333G, so if you find it, we'll be expecting pics!
Best of luck getting it all sorted

so i just bought myself this earlier today:
40,000 genuine miles, starts drives and stops, all working electrics, including working overdrive! it needs new valve stem oil seals and a couple of new brake pipes for the MOT, i'll put new pads in all round and change the oil and the filter. it has bubbles of rust along the bottom of the doors, and on the wings, but the chap threw in two doors and two new wings as i was a student!
all for a bargain price of £850!
he's even delivering it for me tomorrow afternoon!
very pleased!
