Bean is looking good, as always, still, if you paint it, you'll lose all that dirt, and the lovely patina it has.
Still, eager to see what colour it will be... day-glo pink?

bit off topic but sortof on it aswell... has anyone ever done a sporty lookin bean mini as in green and balck bonnet?

then came the big moment... he turned over freely, spluttered, and started! Wooop!!
hes running rough, so tomorow its off to get his timing sorted, as my strobe gun is broke... so! i've still to drive him!

engine got tuned, however the piston rings ar stuck in the pistons due to the engine being stood for a while...
LOADS of smoke out the back...
so...
engine out again....
should have re rung it anyway...
least you all get to look at more pictures...

Unlucky mate, i have that problem with the mokes 1100,
Tend to ignore it, need to clean the plugs everytime i use her!!!

My mate rob had taken back his engine crane as he is working on his mini he's just bought, so i went down to his unit to take out the beans engine once again.... lovely big unit with flat floors and plenty of light! not like the little lean to i use at my grans! lol

Mate you`ll be able to take a mini engine out in record time now!
2 hours and 45 min that took me... haynes says 4 an a half i think... lol im sick and tired of taking mini engines out!
however, got piston 4 out today and it deffo needs new rings... picked them up from minispares today... got a new clutch slave too... didnt realise how much they were til i heard the total!!! could have fainted! lol
be all back together on monday i think...

Just so perfect.. love all the imperfections like the wheel arch, adds to the character! aren't they the aluminum ones? rare as hens teeth?

yeah they are 60's cosmic alloy arches, got them new in the box off ebay for £40...
im beginning to have doubts as to weather i should spray him now!! you naughty bunch!!
