Wow, didn't know you had a mk2 as well! nice work on finding one, what are your plans for that? (or should I keep this off this thread )

Bean is looking good, as always, still, if you paint it, you'll lose all that dirt, and the lovely patina it has.

Still, eager to see what colour it will be... day-glo pink?

well finally got everything back together today! dropped him onto his wheels and filled him up with oil, then i filled him up with water, only to find it flooding out the waterpump... so... a trip to moss and a new pump was bought fitted and the water was topped up again!

then came the big moment... he turned over freely, spluttered, and started! Wooop!! >_<

hes running rough, so tomorow its off to get his timing sorted, as my strobe gun is broke... so! i've still to drive him!

Just so perfect.. love all the imperfections like the wheel arch, adds to the character! aren't they the aluminum ones? rare as hens teeth?

Sort the underside, wheel arches & engine bay out with some paint, but leave the rest alone >_<

hiya mate , nice looking car. i think i may borrow a few ideas for the next project, youve inspired me to go retro style
one thing i was wondering is where you got these arches from, my girlfriend wants them on her designer instead of those chrome ones you can get
