Looking good, the carbs look tasty :D

The grey colour on the engine is obviously a sign that you are meant to have a grey mini!

Blimey, the thread has grown quite a bit since I was last on it, and the bean has changed once again!
Unfortunately, didn't manage to see the car at bingley, searched high and low, but alas, couldn't find it :)

I'm wondering what this new colour will be... *wink wink, smoke grey nudge nudge*
Are you keeping the rally stuff, if not, i'll buy it

Keep going with it, looks ace, i'm gonna have to see this once mine's finished
Pics, more pics! ;)

This is one of the few cars that I think genuinely looks good with a rough paint job, its got a serious street racer patina, I love it. I'll be really gutted if and when you do paint it. :P

Back to todays work!

i was in york this morning when i pposted at my girlfriends house, so on the way back i stopped off at minispares and got a new gasket.

out it came again....

Posted Image

luckily i only had to take off the side part... tightened the three offending bolts and bent over the lock tabs:

Posted Image

new gasket, and it was ready to go back in!

Posted Image

Posted Image

got the manifold, tappet covers and carbs on:

Posted Image

then i set up the carbs, sorted the heater hoses, fitted the clutch slave cylendar *spelling!!??* re fitted my hubs ad drive shafts, attatched the choke, heater and accelorator cables and sorted the wiring, then fitted new plugs, leads, and dizzy cap.

so, tomorrow im off to collect a mini that my mate has bought, so no work, monday should see the rad and alternator on the hopefully he will start!!
