if its sunny tomorrow i should have the whole wing in primer, then topcoat on sat!

yeah the bean was in mini mag! and i won the screwdriver set! they are really nice quality! been using them in the studio and on the bean!

well the wing is all finished now!! ill let the pictures do the talking:









its not perfect, but its better than a big scuff mark!

I also started on my dash, took the old one out and offered up the new one, needs some trimming here and there, i also need to make up some brackets to hold the speedo in place.

it should be in at the end of the weekend, or next week some point!

dash dash DASH!!!! WOOP!!

totally love it!

fitted a seering column drop bracket so i could see all the guages, wipped out the old panels and centre binnacle, i took the windscreen out and i drilled the holes to bolt it to the top dash rail, and in it went!

needs finishing, i have to block off my bulkhead hole, and i need to wire it all in, and patch the hole where the fresh air vent was so my battery cut off can go there!

then i need to fill in the rest, as i dont want a parcel shelf, i think i want a glove box and somewhere to mount a couple more guages...

Did some more today, fabricated some parts in the studio.

i made the brackets to hold my speedo in from som aluminium i found, they were then fibreglassed onto the dial housing part:



i also made a switch panel from an old computer casing, i quite like the cream colour, i might sparay it up the colour of my wheels, or i might do it body colour, i havent decided!



fitted:


all my wiring is sorted and i bought some grey insulation tape off ebay so ill wrap up all my loom, which ive been meaning to do for a while, lol make it all neat!

should all be done tomorrow! woop!

Just read this from the beginning and I have to say I'm filled with inspiration. I don't have a Mini yet, but I hope I have even half as much enthusiasm as you for getting on with all the projects.

the air temp and volts will be put in a proper holder, i just made that one quickly!
also, the blank off with the batt cut off will be re-done, again, just made quick!
