did i see the car in the roberts way car park at the university of hertfordshire 2day, i was just about to drive my mini home when i saw it. maybe u saw mine, its a bright orange mini city on a x plate (suffix).

was good to meet you, and your really really nice mini!!


Been watching this project for a while, i love the look of it, especially the dash. Hopefully i'll get to see the car about soon, i live just down the road from hatfield in stevenage.

may have to take you up on that offer. my mates at UH hes got a bright yellow clam. (very low long fibreglass shell with an imp engine in the back) i may be there in sept depending on my final choice. what you studying?

its made from lots of things... the body is made from a foam based MDF type material, called chemiwood.... the wheels are made of resin, cast from a rubber mould of a single chemiwood wheel i made, the lights are contact lense cases, the grill is wire and the windows are vinyl... the bonnet straps are real leather too >_< painted in the same colour as the real bean, as i had some left... wasnt cheap though, took me ages too... so yes... i can make you one of your minis... for prob about £150... lol :cry:

lol, yep! chemiwood is well expensive!! its 1/12 scale if anyone was wondering... cost me about £75 all together, then add a modelmakers hourly rate on top and thats prob what it cost!! :cry:

yeah thats the one! that model is awesome.theres some nice twist country roads to drive in herts which is another bonus on top the flat :cry:

Well!! its Update time!

my steering column wore and so i coulsnt steer... Udo has posted me a new one, so hopefully that will come tomorrow and all will be well again!

Our new project at Uni is to Make a Spaceship out of things we can find, so Naturaly we all went looking in skips around the uni, pulling out computers and Printers to use. however i found something for the Bean in one of the Skips!

How Awesome is that!!! Hahaa!

no idea why it was in a skip... all the nuts bolts and washers were there, just needed some WD40 and the all came free allowing me to adjust it to fit on my gutterers! Im well Pleased! Hahaa! :X

i have something else coming in the post too, but more of that when it arrives!
