Matt thats a lovely mini! i like the smoke grey alot!

insurance is an issue with the polo motor.... 100bhp compared to about 65bhp will be alot in their books... but who knows, maybe one day... i kinda want a supercharger on the 1215 one day... hmmm...

I'd stick with an A series, simple engine and easier to work on.
There's a guy in Mini mag who got 310 bhp from his mini, no idea how though lol.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do with the bean, it is a really really nice motor you have there

One HUGE turbo and a bore out i think it was. I'd imagine it's a 'tad' quick but very twitchy coming out of corners.

lol!! mine worked briefly today....

i think im gonna spend some serious money on the bean in the summer... he needs a real strip down all rust cut out and new metal welded in, rather than ground back and fillered... perhaps some fibreglass doors to add to the bootlid and front, a new colour i think is in order... get my new dash in... and the new engine too...
better start saving! ;)

A new colour? What sort of colour are you thinking of going with?
more fibreglass, does this mean the bean might be getting a rollcage? Might be a good idea, just for peace of mind I guess, although the insurance companies will punish you for it
No idea why though... a roll cage makes it safer :D

WOW!, it's amazing, yeah, do that, will look amazing. Go with that colour all over though, roof and all.
You're keeping that numberplate right?
Need to get me another mini, would love to do something similar - I should probably finish one at once though ;)

I think you can buy cages from minispares and there's a company called "Geronimo cages" that should be able to find what you need.

Good luck!
