did a bit on the dash on friday...

this is the part that screws off with the holes in i dont want....



i then made a copy of it in MDF, the router they had at the uni wasnt working (hopefully will be on monday) so i didnt get round to beveling the edge...



then this is the exciting part!

i bought some ABS for a uni project and saw they had a leatherette effect one, which i bought too, so once my MDF mould is done, i ont need to cover my new vacum formed part as it will already be leather effect... if you get me...!!?? lol



anyhoo! more on that on monday hopefully!

unfortunately due to my uni work i havent seen my mini in ages and probably wont be bale to work on it again until the 2nd week of december. But to keep me busy im building a new pc. lol

finished the new insert for my dash today! woop!

should be fitting it on sat when i go home!

here is the finished MDF mould


then i used the Vaccum former to make my new insert

then i made some paper templates of my guages, to see where i wanted to arrange everything

Keep going with it mate! Finish the whole dash and then step back and decide if you like it, you can never decide you like something half way through doing it as it's not finished.

I think it's gonna look great!
