well well well, spring is coming and its time to get back to work on the Bean!

i have got some money at long last, and after working like a hound, i have bought some bitsies!

first off, i now have my 129295 head!! it was a bargain and it will be goin on my 1098 i am bulding, i also bought a new manifold for my twin carbs as the one i had was for an MG and was too long... :shifty:

so its engine rebuild time!! plan is to get new valves and bronze valve guides, get the engine steam cleaned and take it all to bits then clean it up and put it back together! paint it BMC green and generally tidy up the engine bay.

i will be getting my fence damage repaired soon too, but i want the engine first!! :w00t:

so ill get some pictures, oh also what size valves do i need to buy?? or do they come in sets??

right, i have a HIF44 and some twins, which should i use!!??

i am also just about to undergo the changing of the front end... do i go for fibreglass which could flex and crack the paint but is lighter... or do i go for tinfoil... lol which would probably rust, but i can get cheaper.....??

bean has been running wierd too.... starts fine, then drives, revs drop to 500rpm then as you hit the throttle it cuts out and wont start.... wait 5 min then vrooom and he's fine all day....? lol

anyway

thats it for now!
