Should get crackin on sorting out the filler work on the front tomorrow, then she'll be ready for prepping! :w00t:

Can't wait ;)

Oh and it's now been christened TINY!! All hail Tiny! :dontgetit:

I think i'll replace my door skins , now that youv'e convinced me it is less
work than repairing them.

If I bring Ratty down could you finish prep him for me :teehee:
Being as you'll have some time on your hands.

Update time! :) Everyone's been off sick at work so I've been number one slave and haven't had any time, but I
got some done work done this weekend.

With all the exterior done, it was time to sort out the interior. Yay.

My boss has got a bit sick of having it in the workshop, so it has been thrown into the back yard :ermm: even with two car
covers, its still filled with water..

Took me 2 hours with an air gun and a hot air gun to dry it out.

Found lots of nastiness under all the seam sealer that someone had bunged over everything,
Lots of very dodgy welding to the "new" front floor pans,
Posted Image

And a hole on the O/S arch.
Posted Image

Also the floor had come away from the cross member,
Posted Image

Anyway sorted all that out,

Posted Image

Next I prepped all of the areas to be painted inside, and filled a few dents on the cross member and on the dash rails.
Posted Image

Inside etch primed, and with a light coat of stonechip,
Posted Image

Sound deadening applied, and sealer applied over welded areas.
Posted Image

Did the same inside the boot,
Posted Image
Posted Image

I also sorted out the bulkhead, which was looking definitively rusty and unsociable.

It was nice to see something going green at last!

If all goes well, I "might" get the inside painted Monday night.

Pete, i think you need to look into leaving work getting your own workshop and gear, if you havent got any, and starting up your own business in mini refurbing. doors i think you would have thrown at you from every angle. I have 2 in need of repair :D

Dream job! I've got a bit disillusioned doing modern stuff, it's just boring! want to get into doing kustom work or older stuff like minis or VW's. Won't be soon though, I'm moving in September this year, although I have no idea where to yet, depends on what Uni the Mrs is accepted into!

Yeah, there is a possibility I could be moving to Worcester if the Mrs decides to take a gap year. Plus my sis lives there. I really like it. The town is nice and the countryside is rather preeety too.

Kind of an air wire brush! I can never remember what it's proper name is! I call it a terrorizer, and my last work called it a widow maker! basically it's got lots of stainless steel wires which turn round very quickly! eats through old sealer, rust pretty much anything that gets in it's way! great tool.
