Howdy peeps! I was wanting a new project, and saw this for sale in the sales bit on here

I bought it and now it's getting a full restoration. I'm doing it up for my sis which is cool, because I get a project, but don't have to pay for it

It's originally a 1980 998 auto, but it seems to have been fiddled about with alot in it's life! It's got a stage 3 998 manual which is suprisingly quick. It's got a fibreglass front including the A panels, but I'll be fitting metal A panels as I don't think it looks quite right! it also has rather sexual 10 inch mambas with yokos. the plan is to go british racing green with and old english white roof. There are various bits on it that need attention, firstly the sills! some arse has fitted oversills at some stage, which are never a good idea, and as there was a hole in the sill anyway, today I decided to rip em off and fit proper ones.

It's a little more rusty than I hoped it would be..

I managed to get hold of some sills for £9 each (contacts :dontgetit: ) but they turned up and they were oversills... so I narrowed em and cut upen the vent holes to stop the inner sills going rusty from condensation.

I shall be fitting the new sill tommorrow. Hopefully the other side won't be quite so bad!

WEIRD? ME?? If you ask me, the weird ones are the only sane ones

Anyhoo, got cracking on the sill again today,

Inner sill etch primed and hammerited up!

New sill welded on

I noticed the rear quarter wasn't quite straight, so I started sanding it down, only to find it was full of filler :D
So I dug it all out and did it properly. It looks like it's had a new rear quarter at some stage, and whoever fitted it warped it and just filled it with filler... I dug it all out and beat it out as best I could, and put a skim of filler over it.

And then it was time for my tea. Get the other side done tomorrow night hopefully.
