We did a topic about this a while back. Didn't really go anywhere.

But I think an old BMW bonnet gas strut would work great. Their only small.

Minispeed in germany sell specially made ones. NOT the same minispeed as the one in England. They come over for quite a few of the big shows.

We are now the official UK stockists of the german kit, we had a delivery in this week, but 1 bracket wasn't included. We should have complete kits for sale by the end of next week.

Any properly designed gas strut installation should be over centre really. The struts should be keeping the bonnet closed until you raise it to the point where it starts lifting.

Not to hog the thread...but seriously please do somthing with your search tool/category listings on your site.

As far as I can tell, bonnet fixings/alternative categories under bonnet dont list the struts...but list things like mirrors..which should surely be under doors.

Your search tool is also, and I'm gonna be honest, fubar'd. For me in Mozilla Firefox it only works on the main homepage. Any search queries on an inner shop category, or a previous search result list turns up wither with exactly what you had before, like the page hasnt even refreshed, or nothing at all.

I mean its half the task finding items on 'sports website...but at the best of times the info on there is drabby/non existant and I'd rather use you guys out of choice.

I would be VERY interested in these, how much work can be expected? Tough job? Or 15min quicky?
Also could someone post a link to the minispares kit, cause I cant for the life of me find it!
