Piccies as promised. over the course of this week i am in the process of treating the whole of the underside of the car so i can pick up the wheels next weekend, put the new tyres on and finish mounting the exhaust and then its just the speedo, rev counter and fuel gauge left then she's ready for mot.

Wheels, brakes and hubs off. definately messy.

happy with the weekend although may get some new rear dampers as these are not adjustable.

im home having just picked up the wheels and shiny!!! waiting for the camera to charge so i can put up some piccies.
only one problem is that it would appear they are origional minilights with the 30 degree spacer for flat wheelnuts and there were only 10 in total so have to fabricate a new set.
Exhaust is currently being welded up by a friend and will be going on at the weekend.
Homemade italian job bar is also being welded up by same friend.
Door bars at work with me dad.
Ordering speedo cable tonight and trying to find some centre caps although may make my own.
Dizzy and coil wired up.
Need to put ballast coil and flasher unit into loom.
Should i go for some rally circles with magnetic numbers on the doors?
Custom aluminium footrest housing washer bottle for passenger side at the steel shop down the road being punched

These ramps are so handy but unfortunately were made many moons ago by my father while he was an apprentice and discovered around 12 months ago in the back of my grandmothers garage so they came home.

Ed im like a giddy child at christmas especially now i've got my place on tmf stand at castle coombe so ive got to have it finished now. Spent many years now going to mini shows in "other" cars hiding under a cap or jacket but i can now show up and most likely break down but at least i will be in my mini!!

i don't think the paint has a name but ive got the can for it somewhere with the number on. If i remember correctly it was from baileys paint. I will have a rummage and let you know.

Got most of the electrics done today and the engine turning over.

well no start today as the trip to the grarage blew last night so the battery never charged up but never mind these things happen. Instead spent most of the day fitting the front windscreen. What an epic task that tourned out to be. I've used some owrds today that i don't think even exhisted!! Decided to call it quits for today and gave ermintrude a good wash as he was very dusty and dirty.
