Managed to sneak home at the weekend due to a work commitment but was able to get in a good few hours on the saturday and sunday morning.
Heater box is now back in along with all heater hoses connected up. All the wiring is now in the cabin and after many hours of testing and colourful language, lots of coffee and puzzled looks it is now all labelled and identified ready for the relays and fuse blocks.
Also realised that i need a horn to pass mot but i threw mine out so i managed to squeeze a set of air horns under the bonnet just for good measure.
Took my camera home with me but left the memory card in my pc at uni.... Dooh !!
So no pics for now but will hopefully get my father to email them to me by tuesday.

lol, i apollogise having been blinded by the devastating cider offers currently available over the past few weeks. in reply to your question i havent got a clue as to where my rev counter and speedo came from but having looked at them more closely we believe they are off of either an old mg or possibly a triumph because they were origionally calibrated for a 6 cylinder engine.

I think everyone is secretly asking themselves but I;ll ask for them, how did u get that engine bay to be so tidy?? Where are all the wires?? Oh and where is your fuse box going? Inside or in the bay?
Fantastic project chap! 5 stars to you!
Hi there. Most of the engine bay wiring is hidden within the three red 8 core wires that run through the bulkhead and the rest of the wiring minus the throttle cable run through the bulkhead in the corner of the drivers side and under the red wires, through the hole in the triangular reinforcing plate and down under and around the brake master cylinder. Although having spoken with my father we have just realised that as of yet we have not fitted an engine earthing strap. whooops. My almost OCD nature means that i cannot stand mess and there is still much tidying to be done. The HT leads for example will all be on at the exact same angle and exactly evenly spaced by the time i have finished.
As for the fuse boxes there will be two main fuse boxes moiunted in the recess in the dash where the glove box is supposed to go with a smaller 4 terminal fuse box mounted under the bonnet on the bulkhead which will house the main fuses for the direct power supply to the starter and such like.
Hopefully heading home next weekend for a bit of a breather from uni so will hopefully get a bit more done.

Picrures from the previous weekends work with more to follow later of the work completed this weekend.
Not much to show as wiring is pretty boring to take photos of.

Doesn't seem like much but wiring a car from scratch is alot harder than you think even if it is a mini. Must give most of the credit to my father as when it somes to wiring he has alot more patience than i am. Anyways back to uni now for the final push till xmas but will be up and running by the end of christmas so stay tuned.
