Holy thread revival!!Yes your right about where they bolt.Since its been brought back up, i'd like to say to anyone thinking about a rollcage to check with your insurance first! I fitted all mine in, then had to take it out 6 months later when it came to insuring the car. My insurance said a rollcage is a race item, not a safety item and would not be covered by them.


I know this thread is old,but is this still correct regards insurance and fitting a rear cage?

Yes, you need/should talk to your insurance about instaling a cage as it will have an effect on your quote. Even stickers count towards being 'modified'

Well the seller did not meet me to sell the cage, so perhaps I will not bother now, hence insurance also.cheers
