what is the biggest battery that will fit/work in a mini battery box?I,m told something like an 038 will fit and give a useful extra boost over an ordinary mini one any one any ideas? my car is an spi cooper .
Basically a peugeot 306 diesel turbo battery will drop straight in. I use that in my MPI.
If you need tons of power reserveIf you want a huge reserve of power get a ups (un-interuptable power supply) battery they cost a bomb but will go for ages. It all depends on what it is your doing, i.e. big sound install or just upgrading the stock battery.

I just have a spi cooper with a larger stereo than normal (amp extra speakers etc) i,m just after something to give a bit extra starting power as the normal mini battery (017?) always seems to struggle .Just been quoted for an 063 does that sound about right?yep i have a 306 diesel battery

I just bought a new battery and replaced my 017 for the 063, fits the space much nicer!
Though i cant get my spare wheel back in, under the tank and next to the battery so that the boot boards sit nicely....

I've got an 063 in mine, not sure on the Ah rating, but it's a nice fit with room to spare. I reckon an 083 would fit in there too.

They'll have a book that gives them all the info on their batteries, including dimensions - measure your battery box.

It says type 72 on that one in Jonny's photo, that's almost 2 normal mini batteries and I can't imagine you'd find one to fit better.
