Hello Mini Forum.  

 

I bought this one-owner 1989 Mini 1000 in September of 2013.  It was completely stock (first picture) and I've been gradually making some modifications.  Ultralight wheels, moto-lita replica steering wheel, RetroSport billet aluminum interior pieces, new shocks, K&N filter, rejetting of the carb, aluminum valve cover and center exit exhaust.  Next jobs are to retrofit a Mk1 grill (with integrated spotlights) and have the seats re-upholstered (to get rid of the horrid 80's fabric pattern...).  I've appreciated looking through this forum for ideas and inspiration!  What do you think?

If it wasn't for the missing door hinges and mk1 badge, I think it would be hard to tell that this isn't a mk1 mini from a distance. Nice work man! :)
