Nice selection of minis Lee76. I like the miglia minis, are they MB split rims 10x7? That green also looks quite nice, what type of green is that if you don't mind me asking?

The green is Honda egmont green and yes the wheels are MB splits, on me dads sprint Mini they were 7.5x10 and my modified saloon they were 7x10.My racer used to hold the record for the most power for an aspirated 1380cc that Peter Baldwin had seen on his rollers

As it happens i've got the miniworld that the 8 port was featured in (and on the cover of) in 1999 right next to me.
Great read and great car. What happened to it in the end?

I took the engine out fitted an MG metro unit and sold it on for about £6k from what I remember and the engine went to Ireland to be used in grass racing.

Just found out the 8-port was converted to an historic rally car and has since been sold to Russ Swift.
