Hi guys.
My friend has an early ecu type, 1.3L K11 micra which he wants £50 plus the wheels that are no longer on my mini for.
This has set the wheels in motion for a conversion. So I was just wondering about all the dynamics of it.
I ideally don’t want to lose the centre smiths speedo of the city, so is there a way of splicing the micra and mini loom together and keeping it?
Thanks in advance!
Sam

Hi there all & everyone,,, From Brisbane Australia,,, we have been trawling through all the threads about micra to mini conversions for a while now.
(Lurking in the shadows, so to speak)
anywaysys, here`s where we`re at with our conversion
pic of subframe, not quite finished in this shot but it`s closer to being finished now & nearly ready to blast & paint.
Curently fitted into a Monaco GT fastback body (We have 2x of them now ) one for my girlfriend Marly & one for me.
Mine (This one) is going turbo charged
don`t mean to hijack your wonderful, entertaining, & very informative thread,,, just wanted to add my 2 cents worth & join the fun with you guys
thanks heaps for all your time & efforts putting all this stuff out into ciber-land, i`m sure a whole heap of people will be thinking seriously about a Micra transplant into their minis in the future too
cheers & thanks again.

The Buckle Monaco! or maybe a descendant of them.
One of my lottery win cars. Are the conversion parts still available over there?

& i can make roof skins for you if you like
freight might be a bit of a pain tho
this red one pictured has a new skin & converted by us
the black one here is the original one
How many would you like?

Wonder if my Aunt and uncle could fit one in their suitcase when they come home - they've just had to have their visas extended because my uncle broke his leg in the last few weeks of their holiday.

This thread has caught my interest on the subject of small Nissan engine swaps, especially since historically there is some distant Austin connection with the CG having the same capacities as the A-Series at 998cc and 1275cc.
A bit confused however as to whether there is any carryover or evolutionary continuity between the MA, CG and CR engines, apart from all powering 3 generations of Micra and seemingly being fairly straightforward conversions into Minis or were they each all new designs with little commonality between them?
Has anyone done a CR swap into a roundnose Mini or can it only be accommodated on Clubman-nosed Minis?
Also curious to know whether anyone has successfully installed a Nissan A or Nissan E engine into a Mini's engine bay despite their larger size compared to the smaller MA, CG and CR engines. Especially considering the Nissan A engine was at one point mounted in a similar manner as the Mini in the Datsun 100A/120A? Or would the end result have been little different to an Andy Saunder's E-Series 1750cc Mini one-off?
