my nissan micra CG10 DET is finally complete! i will post pics of the build soon. i went the 5th injector/ pressure sensor route, currently running 8psi boost! sounds wicked, may also post a video.

it really doesn't get more home-made than this:

. Standard japanese-spec CG10DE engine
. SR-20 internal fuel pump
. rev-limiter removed
. Aisin (RHB35 i believe) water cooled turbocharger from daihatsu mira
. standard CG10 injectors with 5th CG10 injector drilled into throttle-body
. GE pressure switch (0-10 psi.) set to 2-3 psi. ON.
. A/F and Boost gauges.
. Subaru EJ20 turbo fuel pressure regulator.
. 3-4 degrees static timing retard
. CG13 ECU (less ignition advance)
. 2" downpipe front to rear
. 6 psi wastegate actuator
. bleed valve (achieves no more than 8psi)
. NGK heat range '7' spark plugs
. HKS ssqv blow off valve
. standard manifold cast welded to flange and ported, gussets added.

yet to be added:
. suzuki samaurai intercooler (from tmic to fmic)
. cg13 cams and buckets

these are photos of the engine before it was boosted. notice the GA15 airbox due to the alternator being relocated:

the engine ran very well before boost and gained alot of low end torque because of backpressure thru the turbo manifold. it was impressive, we then fabricated the boost pipe so that we could start sorting fuel tuning. our aim was to get it to work without management or even a remap! our initial idea was that ga15 injectors would suffice but this made the car bog down and idle poorly and lean out when going into more than 2 psi. we reverted to original injectors but relocated the maf thinking that it would help meter the air accurately and the ecu would do the rest.......wrong again, it cut out due to lost air via the BOV but this time leaned out at 3-4 psi. it was at this point we decided to keep standard injectors and use the fifth. off boost the car drives normally until 2psi where the 5th injector pulses and boost comes in really hard, the A/F is slightly rich above stoich throughout boost and i am very happy with the whole thing.

its not really a kit, the guy that owned the car before did alot of sheet-metal fabrication and all the mods to the shell were his vision i guess...
tanx for all the positive comments

the wiring is not that hard, all you need is the engine harness up to the blue ECU plug and the relay plug closest to it. the micra relay box and fusebox is not necessary. al post a link of the micra wiring diagram but the colors may be differnt depending on coilpack, nats and even country. al keep you guys posted. driving this thing is addictive!!

that will be helpfull.cheers big chief,if colours are different could you do it by numbering the pins on the
ecu plug as well, hopefully the pin lay out should be the same.its an early k11 so shuold be no nats.trying
to finish my mini first, but REAL eager to do this conversion.

heres the wiring diagram, its really huge and detailed. of course half of it is un-necessary because of ABS, daytime lights, AC etc.
visit the full diagram here:

real big thanks for that.also got micra manual, not 100% sure but looking at the manual, red(thick one)to battery
yellow/black(thick)to battery
green(thick)to battery
white/black(thick)live when starting/ign on/acc position(also ign switch supply)
white/green live when starting/ign on
red(thin)live start only
all earths on engine loom to earth
does this sound some where near.sorry to be a pain.lol.
also whats involved to fit the micra calipers etc
plus any pics on how the clutch pedal is modified and where to go through on the bulkhead.

Hi Big Chief

Just been flicking throu this topic and noticed on post number 50 on page 4 that you are using the CG13 engine but is that a carb or thottle body on it? because over here I think they are all injection. If it is a carb what is it off and is it a straight bolt on?

Very tempted to have a go at this but ti keep things simple would prefer a carb to start with.

Cheers Nige
