Update....I have just purchased this.......

and will start a strip down and rebuild here when It arrives from Holland

That's one hell of a Mini, you must be so pleased with it.

The kit comes from the Netherlands and cost 2199 euros = to £1650........I will do a engine strip down and a few more mods and then fit this head............good for 8000 revs............and over 115bhp.....

Busy day started removing engine from bay .......make shift ramp so as to get trolley jack under G/box....

Then had a little trouble removing exhaust at ypiece onlt took an hour.....lol

then proceeded with carb and servo then LCB......

then pop ball joints and steering pop out inboarg pots from G/box undone selector and engine mounts removed rad, alt, dizzy, and starter motor and speedo cable.......Oh and forgot slave cylinder......there always one....lol and engome was lifted out.....

then gave the engine w coat of very soapy water with a brush ready for a power wash tomorrow before I apply a paint stripper and another wash....

todays efforts........power wash engine and apply this amazing stripper.....

power wash again.....back to a good base.....for strip down......

then start stripdown head off first....

then everything else.......

 

 

 

 

now next is to wash our block and Box ready for rebuild......

That looks like a Banana skin in the distributor hole

now to put it somewhere safe till the block is cleaned and new cam fitted ect...
