I'm gutted that I missed your car at the IMM - there was just soooo much to see! It looks great - the arches really finish it off.

many thanks for the support guys and chrome upper trim is from minispares £20 ea.... spots are for now till I can afford orignals £100 ea last pr went for on fleecebay.....and steering wheel will be a JC wood rim........and Lewis we leave next thurs 6th august at 9pm..........so see you when you get back from Canada have a great time .......... :dontgetit:

Great project mate - I am trying to achieve a similar look to a 1990 Cooper, mine was a lot easier as the body was finished, I am just adding brightwork, etc. I have gone the bigger wheel route, and am waiting for Group 2 wide arches, bumpers with overriders etc to arrive in New Zealand.

I could not find the upper chrome for the doors - only the Mk1 and Mk2, and thought that these did not fit the later doors? Could you post a link to the ones that you purchased please?

Did a bit of a re-read of all 24 pages..must be the 4th or 5th time I have read it! :shifty: So many great ideas and what should be done when building a mini.

Just a quick question, the rear subframe grease point covers - How do they attach to the subframe/sill? And where did you source them if you can remember?

Cheers

James

Hell of a project.

I am going to be starting mine in a month or so as soon as my garage becomes available. It'll be my 1st so I'll be flicking through this time and time again.

Inspirational the commitment to keep it going for 4+ years.
